Credit goes to my wife for the quippy headline. We were both able to get away from NYC for the Thanksgiving weekend, even though it took us a longer than usual to get there. We arrived around 2am and we were stopped by a LEO around 1am in Bethlehem. He didn’t wait very long before realizing we were just trying to get home and sent us on our way, without a ticket. I suspect Twiggy’s incessant barking had something to do with it.

Anyhow, I didn’t too much to the forty eight this time around. Only installed one item.

Distressed fender pad from Mother Road Customs

Waiting a bag from CVRST which will mount to the sissy bar and I didn’t want it scratching the paint of the rear fender.

Also eyed a nice jack from Sears that I was able to get for about 25% on Cyber Monday. Not too shappy. My Dad can use it for his snow machine, too.

Here are some of the photos taken on the recent trip.

Bike Help

So I had my front tire tube repaired on Thursday night. Rode it that night maybe about 1/2 mile. Maybe just over. It was a short cruise through the neighborhood.

I did the same thing on Friday night and didn’t notice any problems.

Tonight, I randomly moved the bike and realized it was flat. I went to inflate the tire but was unsuccessful. Tried again. And again. And one last time. Nothing. Poked around the Presta stem and noticed no lock nut. I’ve read it’s nothing to be concerned with but after those two rides I’m a bit stumped, and pissed, on why it’s flat and clearly with a hole again.

Any thoughts?
