Some firsts, and one last

Yesterday marked a few firsts for 2008.
My first sun burn.
My first ball game.
My first end of regular game for the Rangers.
My first time wearing a Yankees hat, and last. Sadly, because of the location of our (free) seats, we were in the sun the entire game. I did get burned, but thankfully Jon tossed a cap on my head about a third of the way through the game.

Today we’re heading to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone, eat some Nathan’s and walk the boardwalk.

So far, the spring of 2008 has been pretty eventful.

(Sorry Mom, it will be the last time I wear the hat! I’m going to order a Rangers hat, today!)

NHL Playoffs

It’s officially unofficial.
It’s unknown, as of this posting, who will be in the NHL Playoffs from the Eastern Conference. While the Western Conference has been determined, there are still 4 possible openings in the East.

Will Carolina or Washington take the top spot in the Southeast? Will the Bruins be able to stay in? Most of this will be determined this evening, but it’s certainly created some attention and tension towards the end of the regular season. The NHL did a fine job of doing that.

Happily, with the Rangers 3-0 win over the Islanders last night, they clinched their playoff berth. If they win over the Islanders tonight at the Garden (I’ll be there for their last home game) and beat the Devils on Sunday, they will move to 4th place and obtain home ice advantage. Well, the Devils have to loss to the Flyers tonight, too. So… we’ll see how that plays out!
